flaw number one

here’s the first flaw of mine that i want to talk about. i’m going to try to write one a day for the month of october.
do you ever get put on the spot and commit to something you really don’t want to do? maybe you say yes, even though you have absolutely no intention of following through with the task you’ve agreed to? this is something i do a lot, simply because i like to please people and not put their nuts in a knot. most times this backfires, and i wind up canceling at the last minute, letting people down more than i would have if i’d just been honest up front.
i get it that a big part of life involves doing shit you don’t want to do. sometimes i just need to shut up and not be a bitch. i also need to be more vocal from the beginning and not string people along to avoid conflict. this is deceitful and shitty. in the end, others will probably respect me more for being honest and to the point, rather than being sketch and flaky.
do you ever do this? tomorrow i’m going to write about the flaw where i still pee in people’s sinks at parties. just kidding.
