spooky: flaw thirteen

as a grown ass man i shouldn’t have to sleep with the tv on because i’m afraid of ghosts. this wastes electricity and money. it is also asinine for me to still be afraid of the dark. i’ve heard too many ghost stories, watched too many episodes of unsolved mysteries, and been to too many fxcked up horror movies. the result is an over-active imagination that runs wild when i turn off the lights.

what is it that i’m actually afraid of? i guess i’m scared that a ghost will show up and start talking to me. i’m afraid my grandfather will return from the grave, sit at the edge of my bed, and give me advice. i’ve heard about ghosts fucking people and strangling them and shit. i don’t want that to happen to me.

i don’t even know if i believe in ghosts. would a tv really save me from one? probably not.

the only time i’ve been  able to go to sleep without the tube on is if i were with someone or  three sheets to the wind.
