over the summer i quickly developed an obsession with portland’s blouse after hearing their song about feeling like a shadow. i have felt like a shadow. we all probably have. emo. their debut lp is set for a november release on http://capturedtracks.com/. i caught bassist patrick adams for a few questions:

are you guys blazers fans?

i’m not ashamed to admit it’s the only sporting event i really care about. it’s killing me that there is a lockout.

who are your heroes?

of the five songs you’ve officially released so far, which one was the hardest to record?

nights & days seemed the hardest because it felt like the furthest departure from the other material at that time. there are many versions.

which one of these songs would be most likely to have a secret cryptic/subliminal message if played in reverse?

does your live set include any covers and if so what are they?

currently no, however we just recorded pale spectre by the wake. it should be out sometime early next year on captured tracks.

who is the best dancer in the band? do you believe in dancing on stage?

jacob has always claimed to be a good dancer but i don’t think i’ve ever seen him dance. i’ve got rhythm, but i’m awkward… so this one goes to charlie. she used to do ballet. i’m not super into dancing on stage, unless the music just begs for it. i am into the crown dancing though.

when can we expect the full length to drop?
